Hello escapees 👋 It's a new month and we're excited to share an extra-packed edition of the Escape Industry Newsletter this August! From a wealth of new escape room openings popping up around the world, few places have as many new escape rooms recently as Australia. It's also con-season, so we have a lot to look forward to in person. From smaller Immersive Experience festivals and summits popping up around the UK this summer, to some exciting teasers from the Salon de L'Escape Game in France later this summer, and of course RECON kicking off this very weekend. Speaking of RECON, as a friendly reminder, two of the team behind the Escape Industry Newsletter (Tom and Carl of Buzzshot) will be at RECON next later this week. RECON "24 Takes Place This Week Reality Escape Convention, one of the world's most popular escape room conferences will take place later this week from August 18th - 19th in Los Angeles. This will be the fifth RECON event, for owners, creators, players and supporters of escape rooms and immersive games. |

ERIC has announced a Partnership with the IEN for Immersive Experience Creator Summit In a recent post, ERIC (Escape Room Industry Conference) has announced a partnership with the Immersive Experience Crator Summit held at the Woolwich Fireworks Factory in London on Monday, October 21, 2024. In their post: "In previous editions of ERIC, we sought out experts and talks not just from escape rooms, but from adjacent entertainment industries. Complementing our ERIC-curated talks, IEN is assembling a lineup of outstanding speakers from around the world, offering fresh insights and lessons from all kinds of immersive projects, shows and experiences." |

TERPECA Announces Two New Ambassadors TERPECA recently announced two new ambassadors, one for the UK, and the other to represent the Nordic countries of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. I wouldn't normally be quite so excited, except the Escape Industry Newsletter got a shout out and you might spot a familiar face *cough cough*
