Escape Industry News
Happy July, Escapists 👋

Can you believe it, this is the 24th issue of Escape Industry News. Meaning we've been act this for a whole two years now?!

I do believe Es-cake is in order...
Here's one I baked earlier!
Cheers to another 12 months of trying to escape from as many rooms as we physically can.

In this month's issue, the big news is probably around the ER Champ, but enthusiasts in China will be pleased to hear that the EGA National Excellent Reality Game Selection is in full swing too.

As well as news, this month's issue of Escape Industry News is packed with new escape room openings, fun industry stories, all the escape room podcast episodes you could possibly listen to, and some upcoming dates for your diary.

But as you know we're a small team and we can't keep up with them all without out wonderful community. So, if we've missed any news near you, please do let us know by replying to this email.

Until next time,

Editor of Escape Industry News

60Out announces a new site with three official IP rooms

For fans of Godzilla vs Kong, The Smurfs, and Titanic (yes, really), 60Out has announced their new site will feature rooms from all three IPs. The new site is due to open at HHLA 6081 Center Dr #220, Los Angeles, CA this summer.

10 Teams Progress to the ER Champ Finale

This month saw around 800 teams take place in the ER Champ Eliminations online. If you like data, you can read up on all the data from the ER Champ over on Lock Me. Since the ER Champ Finale is taking place in person this Poznań, Poland this year, only 10 teams 'passed' and will be travelling to the finale. In recent years, the ER Champ has attracted around 2,000 to 3,000 participants from countries ranging from Japan, Hungary, Poland, Germany to the USA, Canada and Chile.

2022-2023 EGA National Excellent Reality Game Selection - Finalists Announced

Whilst not available in English, escape room fans in China have been voting for the best 'reality game' experiences in the country, including (and forgive my poor translation skills): "secret rooms", "interactive dramas" and "puzzle games". The finalists have been announced, and I believe there is one more round of voting before the winners are announced.

Last but not least, a word from our sponsors: Buzzshot

After popular demand, Buzzshot is super excited to announce a new feature on their escape room management software: Email marketing. The new feature combines the power of marketing with the existing CRM so owners can send targeted and personalised emails based on Team Names, Escape Times, Win Conditions, and more.
